BOLOFest ’24

Get ready for BOLOfest 2024, following the resounding success of BOLOfest 2023! Last year, BOLO (Black Owned London) launched Camden’s largest black-owned market on Lower Stable Street, kicking off Camden’s black history season in style. In collaboration with Argent and Samsung KX, the market attracted over 20,000 attendees across three days, immersing them in the vibrant culture. From soulful music to delicious cuisine, attendees experienced the richness of black-owned businesses. The kids’ area was a hit, featuring face painting, a kids DJ, and even a children’s cinema.

Abura - African Mixology

Prepare yourself for a series of 4 masterclasses, including two immersive, hands-on workshops where you can acquire the distinctive skills of this groundbreaking style of mixology known as ‘African Mixology’.

Get ready to have a blast! Grab a camera and join the guided tour of BOLOfest. You will be set a task and given pointers along the way. It’s a memory-creating, fun activity that will sharpen your photography skills.

Thimble & Doll

Thimble and Doll Kids Sewcial Club is a fun and educational introduction to hand sewing for children aged 7+.

We offer children’s sewing workshops and school sessions that teach children the basics of sewing, from threading a needle to creating their projects using age-appropriate materials and techniques.

 

Our workshops and sessions will teach your child valuable skills that develop fine motor skills, encourage creativity and mindfulness, boost self-confidence, and provide a sense of accomplishment. 

Guided by experienced workshop leaders, your child will create something they love and discover a hobby that they can enjoy for years to come.

The Lower Stable Street Market Take Over

 

Black Owned London, in collaboration with Camden Council’s Black History Season 2023, is proud to announce BOLO Fest, a sensational celebration of Black culture, entrepreneurship, and community. This landmark event took place on Friday, September 29th, to Sunday, October 1st, at the iconic Coal Drops Yard in London.

BOLO Fest was not just a market; it’s an immersive experience that promises to captivate audiences with its vibrant energy and unyielding commitment to Black economic empowerment. With an estimated footfall of 14,000 visitors per day, the festival was epic and provided participating brands with unparalleled visibility and a unique opportunity to connect with a diverse and engaged audience.
